International Recognition of Artistic Quality: Ruta Puidokaite Honoured by the Luxembourg Art Prize 2025

I’m honoured to share that I’ve been awarded the Certificate of Artistic Achievement by the Luxembourg Art Prize 2025. The prize is granted by the Pinacothèque, an independent European art museum known for recognising artists whose work shows genuine creative merit and strong artistic integrity. To be included among this small group of selected artists is a meaningful acknowledgement of the direction my practice is moving.

Since its launch in 2015, the Luxembourg Art Prize has earned a reputation as one of Europe’s respected contemporary art awards. Each year, only a limited number of artists receive formal recognition from the museum’s committee, making the certificate a distinctive marker of artistic quality rather than another decorative accolade.
For collectors, this kind of recognition matters. The Luxembourg Art Prize is valued for its independent curatorial approach and its focus on identifying artists whose work carries emotional depth, originality, and long-term relevance. Being acknowledged by the Pinacothèque places my work within a wider artistic context, one guided by substance, intention and a commitment to craft.
My practice has always centred around emotional intensity, energy, memory, and presence and this recognition affirms that the ideas driving my work resonate within a broader cultural conversation. It also strengthens the narrative behind each piece: that these paintings aren’t just moments of expression, but part of an evolving and recognised artistic journey.
The painting "Ebb & Glow" was among the works recognised by the Visual Arts Open longlisting.

As the contemporary art world continues to shift, institutional acknowledgements like this provide an additional layer of trust and clarity for collectors looking to invest in meaningful, future-forward work. My inclusion in this year’s recognised group marks an important step in my path, and I’m grateful for the momentum it brings.
