Commissions
How the Commission Process Works
1. Initial Consultation for Your Custom Artwork:
Share your ideas, colour preferences, and desired size for your commissioned original painting. We’ll discuss your vision in detail, explore the style of abstract or expressive portraiture we create, and review any sample artwork styles you like. We will also discuss the budget for your bespoke artwork. Once the brief is agreed, we will confirm the timeline for the completion of your piece.
2. Artistic Direction:
Once we’ve discussed your preferences, we will agree on the general direction of the artwork—whether it will be abstract art or portraiture.
We will agree the price for the original artwork. A 50% deposit is required upfront to begin the project, with the remaining 50% due upon delivery.
From here, we will take creative freedom to bring your vision to life while staying true to my artistic integrity.
3. Creative Process:
With the direction set, we will fully immerse in the artistic process. We do not share progress updates, allowing the artwork to evolve organically. You’ll see the finished piece when it’s complete—an authentic, original creation that reflects both your vision and my artistic flow.
4. Delivery:
Once the artwork is complete, we will be in touch in one of the following ways:
• Online Commissions: You will receive a video and a photo of the finished artwork. The final payment will be due at this stage before the artwork is securely packaged and shipped to you.
• Dublin (Ireland) Commissions: A face-to-face meeting is welcomed, allowing you to view the finished piece in person. The artwork will be presented stretched on stretcher bars. Framing service is available on request in Ireland only. The final payment will be made before the artwork is handed over.
Amendments:
We do not provide amendments to the finished painting, as this can affect the composition, colour palette, or creative intention. Once we determine the artwork is complete, it is considered final. Each piece is a fully realised creation, and no further changes should be made to preserve the integrity of the original artwork.
